Karen Stettler has been working with beginning and retiring farmers for over 25 years and has served in the roles of Farm Beginnings facilitator, organizer, and program director. On the land access side, Karen has conducted many workshops and conversations with established farmers considering the next steps on their farm. Open communication, exploring resources, and building relationships have all been a part of the holistic approach Karen uses to help landseekers and landowners get ready for transition. Growing up on a farm, living in a rural area and seeing the changing landscape of farming continues to motivate Karen to engage in this needed work of beginning farmer training and land access.
