Land Trusts

Land trusts are entities that hold land or land rights to ensure specific uses for the long term. These uses are often related to resource conservation, ecological protection, and community well-being, and frequently include agriculture. Some land trusts provide farmers with secure and affordable land access through long-term leases. Land trusts also may hold voluntary easements that require land to be used for farming and restrict other uses in perpetuity.
