Ellyn Oelfke

Ellyn Oelfke is the State Outreach and Public Affairs Coordinator for the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Minnesota. She is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the outreach and communications programs for FSA in the state. Ellyn works to ensure that programs are planned and administered in a way that provides equal opportunity for all farmers and ranchers, including emerging farmers, and to assure the widest dissemination possible to the public of FSA information and programs.

Oelfke earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communication and Marketing from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in 2018 and has since been with Minnesota FSA, working as a Program Technician and Farm Loan Officer in Sibley and McLeod Counties, and the last year and a half as the Outreach and Public Affairs Coordinator. Outside of work, Ellyn farms with her husband, Jacob, near Hamburg, Minnesota, raising a variety of commodities including corn, soybeans, beef cattle, hogs, cut flowers, and pumpkins using regenerative agriculture practices.
