Elston Tortuga

Elston (they/ze) is the Iowa Organizer with the National Young Farmers Coalition, a grassroots network shifting power and changing policy to equitably resource our new generation of working farmers. Elston is an anti-Zionist Jew and has been farming since 2019, after graduating from Macalester College with a degree in International Studies and Spanish. They currently work with a small herd of rotationally-grazed grass finished beef in rural SW Iowa on the windy Missouri-Mississippi river divide, land that rightfully belongs to Báxoje and Oceti Ŝakowiŋ people.
