Lucia Possehl
Farmer Cohort Facilitator, Sharing Our Roots
Originally from the Driftless Area of Wisconsin, Lucia has always been drawn towards rural resilience building, expanding an ethic of land stewardship, and engaging in meaningful community-based organizing that spans rural and urban geographies.
In her undergraduate work at the University of Vermont, Lucia studied human geography and environmental studies with a focus on rural communities, food systems, and participant-led qualitative research. Prior to joining the Sharing Our Roots team, Lucia worked as a program manager and outreach professional for rural harm reduction and addiction-related public health nonprofits, as a qualitative human geography research assistant, and in outdoor education. Most recently, Lucia was a Rural Organizer for the Wisconsin Farmers Union and Sharing Our Roots' Communications Coordinator.
